Car Transport Transit times leading into Christmas

When arranging transport for your vehicle there are a few things to consider to keep your transit time to a minimum.  Firstly if you are able to go depot to depot this will always save you a few days and allows you the flexibility to decide which day you bring the vehicle in as collection dates cannot be guaranteed during this time of the year. Another component that can decrease any delays that may be experienced is having your vehicle transported empty of any possessions, often travelling with your personal belongings in the vehicle can attract a higher transit time being an extremely in demand service.

Possibly the most important thing to remember however is that all estimated transit times are calculated in business days only.  This means your weekends and public holidays are not included in any estimated time given to you.  When arranging your booking discussing any possible Christmas closures with the consultant you are dealing with will also aide you in making your plans as if the depot closes between Christmas and New Year the estimated transit time given to you pauses too.

At Auto-Logistics we understand the importance and stress that can be involved in car transport and we aim to always advise the most accurate transit time that we can.  However delays can occur that simply can’t be predicted such as weather related issues or truck breakdowns that may cause the duration of your journey to increase past the ETA given to you. However even in these instances we endeavour to keep you updated on progress made with your vehicle. We always encourage our customers to call us to track vehicles as often as required and we will be happy to help facilitate this!
