Terms & Conditions

  1. JAY CEE ESS GLOBAL Pty Ltd trades as AUTO Logistics.
  2. We are not a common carrier, do not accept any liability as a common carrier and may refuse to provide services to you or a vehicle for any reason.
  3. We rely on the details supplied by you to us but we do not admit their accuracy or completeness and our signature on the contract or vehicle condition report is only an acknowledgement that we have picked up or received the vehicle.
  4. Our services commence when we, or our agent, pick up or accept the vehicle, and we earn our charges then.
  5. Unless you have received a manual custom quote (these are not instantly available online), all vehicles must be 100% drivable and in a roadworthy condition without any panel damage. The car does not have to have a roadworthy certificate or registration but it has to be in a safe roadworthy condition to be transported.  SUV's/4WD's and large utes are based on a height no higher than 190cm and not longer than 500cm.  Sedans/hatches are based on 160cm height.  Anything outside of these dimensions must be reported and noted at the time of quoting for an accurate quote.
  6. We contract as agent and trustee for our employees, agents and subcontractors so they also have the benefit of the contract and these conditions (including any exclusions or limitations of liability we have) to the same extent as us and as if they were parties to it.
  7. AUTO Logistics facilitates the transport of vehicles between any two places located anywhere in Australia using contracted carriers.
  8. Vehicle transit times are provided by the individual contracted carriers and are estimates based on previous weeks performance. Transit times may vary due to peak periods, acts of nature and backlogs etc. Estimated transit times are calculated from the day the vehicle is collected or dropped off to our depot.
  9. When a vehicle is booked as a door collection or delivery, due the access of some locations we will not always be able to get our vehicles right up to the actual address. In these cases we will either get as close as we can or arrange a "call to meet the driver" point. This will usually be a car dealership or service station that has the required access for our vehicles. You will be required to get the car to this point at the required time. This may also include rural depots in WA and NT. We try to give as much notice as possible for door collections and this will vary from place to place especially rural areas where drivers are just passing through or delivering to dealerships in town. You may be required to meet the truck at the dealership or a convenient point at short notice.
  10. All vehicles travelling into WA go through a quarantine process which is a legal requirement. All vehicles must be completely clean prior to pick-up. Vehicles that require cleaning prior to quarantine inspection will be charged directly to the customer. Further charges may also be applicable for re-assessment.
  11. We offer enclosed services with some contract carriers. This needs to be requested in your quote request. Enclosed services are between our two depot locations only. If vehicles are collected / delivered to points other than our depots, then this will be facilitated by an open tilt tray, not an enclosed carrier.
  12. All prices quoted by AUTO Logistics include fuel levy, GST and Transit Warranty (if provided) by the contracted carrier. All prices quoted are based on the market value on that day and will vary on a daily basis either up or down. You are bound by the individual contracted carriers terms and conditions. Please refer to their individual terms and conditions of carriage and warranty policy details. A copy is usually provided on the reverse side of their condition report and/or transit paperwork. Please contact AUTO Logistics immediately should you wish to increase the warranty value for your vehicle or you would like to organise your own transit insurance/warranty. Please refer to each contract carriers warranty for full details. Goods in vehicles, after market accessories, modified items etc, are not covered under any warranty.
  13. If a warranty is included in your transport quote the following will apply. An excess of up to $800 may be payable.  All warranty claims must be addressed directly with the contracted carrier/s who hold the appropriate warranty to cover your vehicle whist in transit and must be made within 24 hours of receiving the vehicle. Auto-Logistics may act on your behalf and correspond with the contract carrier if required.Full warranty details are listed on the contract, condition report or consignment note that you will have signed.  Please note:  non-running vehicles are not covered by any warranty and travel solely at your own risk.
  14. All vehicles must be empty of all personal possessions or parts unless previously arranged at time of booking. This includes, but is not limited to, spare car parts, luggage, CD's, sunglasses, GPS units, dash cams, phone charges, leads, tools, personal possessions, all loose items. Basically if it is an aftermarket product or a loose item and can be removed from the vehicle, then it is not part of the vehicle. Please advise AUTO Logistics immediately should you require assistance with transporting of personal possessions. Please note that any personal goods authorised to travel with the vehicle are not covered under the carriers warranty policy - goods always travel at you own risk. Fitted child seats are classed as part of the vehicle and do not consitute person possessions. The only things allowed to travel in the vehicle are the things that came with the vehicle when it came from the factory: IE Log books, service books, owners namual, spare wheel and jack.
  15. If you book a vehicle with us that is travelling with goods/ parts/ personal possessions inside, the following rules apply. (A) Weight limits apply and will be advised at the time of booking - these range from 60kg to 100kg (B) All goods must be packaged to travel in boxes or suitable enclosed containers. We will not transport loose items. (C) Boxed items can be placed only in the boot of the car or below the window height if your vehicle is a station wagon. On occasions you can utilise the back seat but this will be confirmed in your booking. (D) If your vehicle is a ute or has a tray, the tray must be EMPTY unless it has a lockable hard cover. On some routes the tray may not be used at all. This will be advised at the time of confirming your booking. (E) We do not transport dangerous goods (F) All goods transported are at your own risk and are not covered by a warranty in any way.
  16. All vehicles booked as drivable vehicles must have steering, brakes, handbrake, battery and wheels/tyres in full working order, all windows and windscreens intact and all seats in place and secured in order for your vehicle to be driven on and off the transporter. There must be no panel damage or accident damage what so ever. (we can move these but they require a customised quote) All vehicles must have a min 15cm ground clearance. Please advise AUTO Logistics immediately should your vehicle not meet any of the above-mentioned requirements or you have any questions relating to this. Vehicles deemed as non runners require specialised carriers who utilise tilt trays and winches so it is vitally important that you advise AUTO Logistics immediately should you think your vehicle may be deemed a non-runner.  Non running vehicles are not covered by any warranty whatsoever and travel solely at your own risk.  Non running vehicles cannot be checked for condition.  No vehicle, including non running vehicle can be checked for under carriage pre-existing damage
  17. Any vehicle collected from auction yards or online auction houses will not be covered under any warranty.  Auction houses do not sign consignment notes and consignments will be checked by the first available depot location for damage.
  18. Transport must be paid in full to AUTO Logistic before AUTO Logistics will arrange and confirm transport with their contracted carriers. All online payments are via NAB Secure Online gateway.
  19. Booking cancellations attract a minimum cancellation fee of $150 + GST per vehicle. Bookings cancelled within 72 hours of the collection/drop off may not be refunded at all. Further charges may also apply for futile collections, storage, delays at collection / delivery points or cars deemed as non drivable on arrival. Changes to bookings can be made, however if a vehicle is scheduled administration charges will apply and charged at a minimum of $100+GST per vehicle.  Refunds will only be issued at the discretion of the manager.
  20. AUTO Logistics reserves the right to cancel or decline bookings at any time without explanation. This includes declining any quoted price generated by the online quoting system, that has either been accepted or paid for.
  21. By submitting a quote request with or sending an email to AUTO Logistics or any site associated with the Jay Cee Ess Global group of companies, you are agreeing to receive unsolicited emails on future promotions, services and/or products from any of their Companies.
